Terms of play
These terms apply to wordrafts.com (the "game"), run by James Green, Brisbane, Australia. By playing you agree to them. They are deliberately short.
Free play and accounts
Anyone may play three normal voyages a day and the Daily Challenge free of charge. Creating a free account raises the normal allowance to six voyages a day and lets you enter the leaderboards. Allowances reset at midnight GMT. A voyage counts towards the allowance once it has run for 30 seconds. One account per person; you are responsible for keeping access to the e-mail address you sign in with.
Annual membership
Unlimited normal voyages cost US$2.99 per year, charged in advance through Stripe. The subscription renews automatically each year until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the account screen (Manage subscription); you keep membership until the end of the period already paid for. The Daily Challenge remains one attempt a day for everyone; membership does not add attempts. If something has gone wrong with a charge, e-mail hello@wordrafts.com within 14 days and we will put it right, including a refund where appropriate. Prices may change for future renewals; we will tell you before any change takes effect. Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded.
Fair play
Leaderboard scores are checked by the server. We may remove scores or names that are inappropriate or appear to have been obtained by cheating or automation, and may close accounts that abuse the service. Leaderboard names must not impersonate others or contain offensive language.
The game and its content
The game, its name, artwork and rules are © 2026 James Green. The word list and definitions include openly licensed material described on the Credits & licences page, which governs any reuse of that material. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the game itself.
Availability and liability
WordRafts is a small independent project provided "as is". We aim to keep it running but do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may change or withdraw features. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any loss arising from the game is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
